A Unique Approach To The Law
I spent 15 years working in estate planning, probate and elder care. This unique experience inspired me to pursue a law degree so I could be of further help to people in difficult situations. It also gave me valuable insight into the kinds of assistance people need when they are aging and in need of care or when they have lost a loved one and do not know how to probate the estate. Few lawyers can claim to have this depth of additional experience in elder law and probate.
I also know how to help people plan ahead so they can avoid challenging outcomes. For example, by creating an estate plan that specifies what to do if you are incapacitated, we can typically eliminate the need for a guardianship in the future. Naming guardians for your children in your will is another way to avoid emergency guardianships. Having powers of attorney established and naming representatives or executors of your estate also reduces the stress on and uncertainty within your family.
Because I enjoy working with families, I also take select Texas family law cases. I can help you navigate issues such as divorce, custody and prenuptial agreements.
